&nbsp&nbspMake sure your tarantula has a fresh clean dish of water. Tarantulas can lose up to 4% of their body mass during a molt from evaporation (my research). This loss of moisture leaves them thirsty after the molt, if they don’t have access to water they can die of dehydration. Some species of tarantula will actually roll up their old exoskeleton like a food item in order to suck any remaining moisture from it, it’s a survival strategy.
