I made Warrant Officer after 16 years . But as for your question you will have to go before a command board after your 5th year . All I can say is suck it up and suck up if you want to go farther in the Navy . Remember COMMANDER means that !You want the scrambled eggs on the hat you better know what you are doing !Your rank will freeze at Lt .cmdr if you go to the reserves.A lot of what you ask is in question , are you a pilot , a doctor , a lawyer ?I Wish you the best in the best service , ask your training officer these questions .
