Name variations or additional names appear on the credit report. How do I determine whether they belong to the applicant?
The Merge Credit Report has a section entitled AKA (Also Known As) Information. This section displays the various ways the applicants credit has been accessed. For example, if Anne M. Gonzalez applies for credit and the lender enters her name in one of the following formats: Ann M. Gonzales, An M. Gonsales, Anne Gonzales, Ana Gonsalez , A. M. Gonzalez, this feature will automatically generate a total of five name variations under the heading AKA Information. If one of the following warnings does not appear, it is safe to assume that the name(s) corresponds with your applicant.
