Mylicon Gas Drops versus Babys Bliss Gripe Water…. Should I go back?

I give my son Mylicon drops for gas. I did buy Gripe Water but it says it is more for hiccups and colic on the box. So I put it aside (since we are still a little early to know if he has colic) and use the drops for gas. He gets pretty gassy at times and they seem to help a great deal. He has a bit of trouble pooing (grunts and groans and gets really worked up about it and I know he is not constipated, just overly trying) and the help him calm down enough to get the poo out. I recommend going back to the Mylicon, since the gripe water should have worked by now if it was going to help. Maybe his gas in in the stomach and that is why the drops work better.
