My Xfire notification area icon disappeared. How do I get it back?
This typically happens in Windows Vista but can be resolved by following these steps: For Windows Vista: • Right click on the task bar (the bar at the bottom of the screen). • Click ‘Properties’. • On the Task Bar and Start Menu Properties screen, click on the ‘Notification Area’ tab. • Uncheck the box for ‘Hide inactive icons’. • Click Apply and OK. For Windows XP: • Right click on the task bar (the bar at the bottom of the screen). • Click ‘Properties’. • At the bottom of the ‘Taskbar’ tab uncheck the box for ‘Hide inactive icons’. • Click Apply and OK.
