Yes, provided that the oil based finish is sound and has fully cured (this may take several months from application). Simply give the surface a light sanding before applying proAqua. However, some of the benefits of proAqua (notably its breathability) will be diminished. Any performance figures quoted by Earthborn relate to proAqua varnish or egshell on bare wood.
