A.: Light is critical to good photography. If we’re allowed to use flashes during the service, your photographs will look great. If the church doesn’t allow flash photography during the service, we’ll do the best we can under the circumstances. (For example, we’ll use tripods and will slow shutter speeds considerably.) While the resulting photographs won’t be as sharp as ones taken using a flash or in daylight, they will have a warm and romantic “feel.” Even if the church does allow flash photography, we’ll still take a few photographs using existing light in case you like that look. We’discuss the conditions and possibilities with you ahead of time, and if we’re unfamiliar with the church we typically arrive early (on our time, not yours) to make sure we know exactly how to best handle the conditions.
