This is becoming more of a common occurrence. AntiVirus companies are always trying to help protect us from new viruses but they do make mistakes sometimes. These “false positives” are reported to us every several weeks. Almost all vendors have released a virus definition that has listed different files in the project download as viruses or trojans. When people report this to us, we contact the vendor and send them the “offending” file. Usually within 24 hours a new virus definition file is released by them with “false positive” removed. Here is what I recommend when you run into this problem: 1. Verify the MD5 hash of the file you just downloaded. 2. Scan the file again with you AV software. Please note any “infected” files. 3. Scan the file with an “online” scanning site such as: http://virusscan.jotti.org/ 4. As long as 1-3 check out, MD5 matches and the “infected” file isn’t listed by many scanners from the website above, you should be safe. 5. Close any programs that use the inter
