Video processing does require a definite amount of CPU and memory resources on your computer. We recommend that if you are having problems with choppy or jerky playback to shutdown other applications that may be running in order to free up additional memory and CPU. If memory or CPU are your issue, then the videos can appear choppy or jerky where they tend to stop and start frequently.
