My UltraGATEWAY seems to send slower to some clients on the same network; shouldnt the speed be the same?
There several factors that can cause a difference in speed. First, different DICOM devices operate at different speeds, although the speed difference should not be extremely noticeable. UltraGATEWAY uses DNS to resolve hostnames in its communications, sometimes if DNS is not setup correctly on a network or if you are sending to a different network these resolutions can be time consuming. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that users setup windows host files on both sides so that DNS resolution can be avoided, this will ALWAYS save time! Look in the release notes for more information on this issue and detailed descriptions of how to set these files up.
