While the Consulate of France issues Schengen visas, France must be your main destination. If you’re visiting multiple Schengen countries, you must prove that your stay in France is longer than or equal to your stay in other Schengen countries. If an equal number of nights is spent in all Schengen countries, you must apply to the consulate representing the port of first entry.
