My TouchPad is not working but the TrackPoint and buttons are working correctly. Is there a problem with my computer?
Probably not. There is a BIOS setting that can cause this symptom. It is possible that the BIOS is set up for TrackPoint & External PS/2 Mouse and not for TrackPoint & TouchPad operation. To choose which devices to use, restart the unit. Press the “F2” key when prompted and enter the Setup utility. Choose the “Advanced” Setup Menu. There will be a choice for “Point Device”. Press the “Enter” key and you will see a drop down menu with the available options. Choose “TrackP & Touch P”. This will enable the TouchPad. Note: This will disabled the use of an external PS/2 mouse. If after verifying the setup of the internal PS/2 pointing devices, there is still a problem with the TouchPad, contact your local WinBook retailer for additional assistance and support.
