My tiering and/or rating algorithm uses several variables, some of which are not addressed in the data call instructions. What value do I assign to these variables?
If an insurer uses several variables to determine tier selection, then the insurer should refer to the call instructions on how to treat other variables which may be included in an insurer’s tiering structure. For variables that are not specifically mentioned in the call instructions, insurers should call TDI to discuss.
