My straps have brown stains that cannot be removed. What are they?
• The most likely suspects are sun-tan lotion which, among other ingredients, contain a red or yellow color additive. Left untreated, the sun evaporates the liquid from these lotions, and burns the color into the strap. The same effect may come from common rain water, which contains a small amount of dirt.
