My SpeedTouch 530 does not seem to be working – none of the indicator lights are on. Whats wrong?
Initially check that your SpeedTouch 530 router is plugged into an electrical outlet and switched on. Having done this, if it still does not power up, try holding in the power button on the router for at least 2-3 seconds for it to power down, and the same for it to power up. This is not a router fault, just a function of how the router works. Remember to hold the button in for several seconds. I have tried to install the SpeedTouch 530 USB drivers from the set-up CD, but still cannot connect to the router via my USB connection. If you previously had an Alcatel/Thomson USB ADSL modem connected to your PC, it is important you uninstall this device and its drivers first before installing your new SpeedTouch 530 router and drivers. To do this, make sure your old USB modem is still physically connected to your PC, insert the original modem set-up CD and uninstall the drivers where prompted.
