Well, this is partly true. The cause of undescended testes may also be due to a genetic abnormality that carries a risk of developing cancer. However after surgically repositioning the testes, the chances of diagnosing it early and seeking treatment for the same are much higher. If the testes were intra-abdominal, the cancer may be missed till it is too late.
