My son is going to be missing class due to minor surgery. How does he contact his professors?
If your student will be missing classes for five days or more, he or she can contact the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs (812 237-3888) and they will notify his or her professors. This notification is not an excuse (there are no excused absences in college), rather it is an explanation to the professor regarding the student’s absence. For absences of shorter duration, the student him or herself should contact their instructors.
