First figure out where he wants to go, find out where would be the best place that would suit him and his major. See if his high school has those college applications in the school, alot of times colleges sends some applications to high school, now remember that most of the time there is a charge for sending in applications. Also make sure you have his SAT scores and his most recent transcript. Also if you are going to be going for financial aid go online and get all the forms, they are a million to fill out no reason not to get a head start. Good Luck.

He is still pretty young so you have plenty of time to research. I would create an account on the college board website (if you haven’t already) and decide what criteria is important to him using the websites features and tools. After that, maybe next year or so, start visiting schools and figuring out what types of colleges appeal to him. If he knows his major, this can be even more helpful so he can find a school with good opportunities available. hope this helps, and don’t stress.. it’s supposed to be fun!
