Yes you absolutely will need a new SIM. If you mean will the new SIM have the same SIM number the answer is no. There are no 2 same SIM numbers (just like snowflakes) but if you mean will you keep your same phone number then the answer is yes. The number will stay the same and will be transferred to the new card.
