My rent due date is the 30th of every month?
Talk to your landlord. Most should be amenable to shifting the due date as long as you pay an apportioned rent to carry you to the new due date. If the landlord agrees, be SURE to get it in writing though! I was a landlord for many years and never had a problem with this. If fact it was a common enough request that I had a fill-in-the-blanks lease addendum drawn up exactly for that purpose. It stated the new rent due date, the apportioned rent and the effective date of the change. We both signed it and filed copies for our records.
