My rear suspension on my older model year full-suspension bike doesn’t seem to work very well anymore. Should I purchase a new shock to replace the old one?

We do not recommend purchasing a new shock for your bike but working on improving the one you have installed. One of the most important things is to set the sag of your rear suspension correctly (please see more details on how to set the sag correctly under the ‘how do I set the sag on my rear suspension’ question). Then adjust the settings on your rear shock according to the instruction manual. Also, be sure that all of the pivots and bearings are in good working order. Replacement parts are available from your local JAMIS dealer.
