• Make sure the batteries are new and installed correctly.Batteries first in the monitor and then in the rain gauge.Be aware of interference from TV, Mobile phones, other weather stations etc, because it can weaken the signal between the monitor and the rain gauge.Make sure the rain gauge gives a low clicking sound, when tilting the rocking mechanism up and down. Otherwise it is defect.Make sure the distance between the monitor and the rain gauge is not too large and no major obstacles such as trees or thick walls are in the way. Shortening the distance can help.If that does not help take the rain gauge inside to the monitor. Remove all batteries from the rain gauge and wait for 10 seconds before re-installing the batteries. Search for the rain gauge by pressing the “channel/search” for 3 seconds. Continue this procedure several times.When the signal is found, test the rain gauge with running water for a minute and observe whether the display is counting or not.
