My puppys ears smell bad?
then you need to get a second opinion because if your vet didn’t say anything about ear mites and didn’t even consider the possibility that’s not good. http://hubpages.com/hub/canine-ear-mites I’m not saying for sure that your dog has earmites but it’s a possibility. I would call another vet and take them in for an examination of the ear because there is something wrong, just for your information, dog’s with floppy ears are a lot more prone to ear infections than dogs whose ears stand up.
Floppy ears need to be cleaned more. Your vet should have given you a bottle of ear wash, and showed you how to care for your dogs ears. You should call the vet and ask about doing that. As long as there is no infection, you can take the dog to a groomer and get the ears cleaned. The groomer may show you how to keep the ears clean also. After you are shown how to clean the ears you can do it yourself.
