My printer is asking for vector files. What are vector files?
Logo and print work sometimes requires ‘vector files’ (.AI, or Adobe Illustrator). We don’t typically provide “true vector files”, but high resolution files in PDF, TIFF or EPS format that have been created in Photoshop. We do have staff that can create true vector or “outlined files” if necessary, but there is an additonal fee. However, high resolution PDF Files are accepted by most printers and online printing services.
Logo and print work sometimes requires ‘vector files’. These are scalable, high resolution images typically used for print. We will provide your new logo in several formats, including a high-resolution vector (EPS) file of your logo, and if necessary, high-resolution files in PDF, JPG or web graphic format.
