You are not doing anything wrong. Your phone is probably equipped with a Lithium-Ion- or Lithium-Polymer battery. You therefore need to attach a Quick-Fix to your handset. Quick-Fix is a small metal-plate that has self-adhesive tape on the backside. Attach it on the backside of your phone and you will be “back on track.
