My pet is ill, and I think it’s time to put him/her to sleep. What are my options?
• As animal lovers ourselves, we understand that this may be an emotional time, and we will help you make whatever decisions are necessary. If euthanasia is requested in the night, or on the weekends, our veterinarians can provide you with the appropriate options and counseling. If you want us to euthanize your pet, you will be given several options. First, do you want your pet examined prior to euthanasia. If the answer is yes, you will be charged our $85 emergency fee for the assessment. This is usually requested if you are unsure if it is time to put your pet to sleep. If you do not request an examination prior to euthanasia, then no emergency fee is charged. Second, you will be asked if you would like to be present for the procedure. If you do, an IV catheter will be placed in your pet’s leg, and the medication will be given directly into the IV.
