My periods have completely stopped and i know i am not pregnant Im only twenty years old?
Sounds like a hormonal imbalance. Too much progesterone causes irregular or no periods. Ask your doctor for some blood tests to check your FSH/LH levels. They are probably too high. Do this now because if you continue to go without any periods, it will be very painful and not healthy for your endometrium. The outcome could be that you have a minor imbalance which can be corrected with the use of the combined pill with a low androgen progestogen. A few months on this usually helps. You may need something to induce a bleed such as Provera, which will clear you out and then you can start the pill. I have PCOS and it is one of the symptoms. Ask your doctor about this. You may need an ultrasound scan to see if there is anything happening to your ovaries. Good luck, and don’t worry, it isn’t life threatening and can be solved. The sooner the better though.
