My PDF document keeps reverting to double-sided. How can I force it to print single-sided?

The PWF recently swapped to using Foxit to display PDF documents because it is faster than Adobe Acrobat. However, Foxit doesn’t always allow you to change from the default printing preference (which for Girton printers is set to double-sided) whereas Adobe Acrobat does. The solution is to save the PDF document to your U:\drive, then open it using Adobe Acrobat. To do this, you can either start up Adobe Acrobat (from the Start menu select PWF programs, then Utilities) and open the document from within Adobe, or right-click on the document when looking at the contents of your U:\drive, and roll your mouse to Open with -> Adobe Acrobat. You can then follow the instructions above to specify single-sided printing.
