My organization currently submits paper claims and receives paper remittance statements. When MIHMS is implemented will we have to do electronic billing?
The online portal introduced as part of the new claims processing system will allow for the submission of claims. This will be done either by entering information for one claim at a time, or by uploading claims data from the provider database. We are encouraging providers to move to more efficient options.
