My opponent played Toadies, then made a Power Blow. Can I use the exertion as a Power Block and discard any defenses I find to offset the Toadies?
* A 4.9 No. This would mean your exertion is doing two things. An exertion can only be used for one thing. The exertion must be specifically for Toadies or to make a Power Block, but not both. And remember, after making an Exertion you cannot play any further cards from your hand for the remainder of that Phase. So play your defenses first, then deal with Toadies.
