My old windows used tape to hold the glass in place. What are my alternatives?
In today’s world, very few new windows are made with two-sided tape or putty. This is due to advancements in technology that have provided better ways to secure the glass. By using automated silicone glazing system (called Auto-Glazers), the glass and sash are securely bonded to provide a better seal and create a stronger one-piece window unit. This also eliminates any areas where air or water can penetrate around the glass unit and into your home.
