My nvi is supposed to speak street names when giving voice prompts but it doesn . How can I fix this?
A. All of the Garmin automotive GPS units that speak street names are also loaded with basic voice prompts. If one of these types of voice prompts has been selected, the voice prompts will not speak street names. In order to change this setting on the nvi line of products, please follow these steps: • In the Main Menu, tap on the Settings icon. • Tap on “Locale” • The second line on this screen has a picture of a mouth. To the right, the current voice for the GPS device is listed. Tap it to change the voice. • Select a voice that is labeled with (TTS) at the end. These voices will speak street names. • Select “OK”. The voice has now been changed. Your device should now speak street names.
