An old version of Adobe Acrobat may be causing this problem. Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, prior to version 2.1, when installed on a computer with the Windows 95 Operating System, will cause the computer to “lock-up” during system start-up. This will prevent you from accessing any of your programs or files. If you have installed an older version of Adobe Acrobat, you will need to upgrade to a newer version (2.1 or greater) or delete the program from your system. You can do this by booting into Safe Mode and upgrading the program or removing it.
