My 2002 nissan sentra jerks a little when accelerating in 3rd and 4th gear. It jerks for a few seconds then runs smooth. If I floor the pedal it stops sooner. Seems like a fuel line problem to me but not sure. A: Hold 2nd gear longer. If its the 4cyl model, you aren’t pulling enough RPM for the higher gears. When you mash the “GO!” pedal, you, 1 accelerate faster, 2 generate more load on the trans and engine, 3 reach the desires RPM faster. If that doesn’t fix it, run a diagnostic on the computer. Not all problems will trip the SES(service engine soon) light.
