My mouse isnt working correctly and/or it jumps around or doesn allow me to move the pointer smoothly.Is my mouse broke?
Probably not.If you can get the mouse pointer to move left to right and top to bottom of the screen, your mouse is probably just dirty inside.First, take the bottom plate off the mouse by rotating it in the direction of the arrows.Next, remove the ball, and place it aside.You will notice 3 small rollers inside the cavity that the ball was in.Inspect the rollers for dirt and grime.If there is a layer of grime on the rollers, use a cue-tip or paper-clip to scrape off the grime.You can also use rubbing alcohol on the cue-tip to clean it more effectively.If your mouse is clean and you still have problems, an optic sensor might be dead.You will need to replace the mouse.
