My motor has 6 leads. Is it wound across the line or wye-delta?

A- The motor could be either a single voltage wye-delta wound motor or a dual voltage across the line motor. Most hydraulic elevator motors that are under oil are wye-delta wound. An air motor may be either. Check the motor nameplate to be sure.
