People who are bipolar need to be on medication. Unfortunately, they are known to go off of their medication often, which leads to severe highs and lows in their personality and moods. People with Bi-Polar Disease are very difficult to deal with when they are not properly medicated. It is essential that you get your mother to a Psychiatrist so she can be perscribed the correct dosage of medication. Then, if you can just make sure that she takes the recommended dosage on a regular basis, you should have no problem dealing with her any longer. She should basically behave like any other person. I totally understand your frustration, as those who are Bi Polar and not medicated have severe mood swings and are highly irrational and difficult to understand. The whole basis of Bi-Polar suggests that those people experience very high highs, in which they feel invincible and think they are indestructible. During these periods, they may attempt ridiculous and dangerous activities, which can be very harmful to themselves or others around them. They have grandeous thoughts and irrational expectations of themselves during these times. Then they experience extremely low lows, meaning they are very depressed and down, maybe even with suicidal tendencies. These extemes are classic Bi-Polar symptoms and are the reason why proper medication is so essential for these sufferers. The only answer to your question is to seek medical assistance immediately. Do whatever it takes to get your mother professional, medical help, and get her on the proper meds.  Good luck to you.
