In many cases the ViP-Gateway and G-box will autodetect the best way to connect and adjust automatically to the existing connection, sometimes if the modem/router combo has a DMZ port or connection, connect the G-Box on the DMZ port, then follow the installation instructions. In some cases the modem/router “combo” has to be setup in “bridge mode”, please check your device settings and/or consult with your ISP. In this mode the G-Box will provide all the “routing services” and PPPoE (if required).
