My Mobile home has a manual Heat/cool switch separate from my thermostat. Can I use a Filtrete (TM) Thermostat from 3M?

Yes. Connect the two wires to RH and W and leave the thermostat in the Heat position all the time. The thermostat becomes a temperature controlled on /off switch. If the thermostat control’s seems backwards, re-connect the two wires to RC and Y and leave the thermostat in the cool position all of the time.
