my Mitsumi CD-ROM tray fails to open and I need to open it (for example, to retrieve a disc out of the drive)?
Please follow the following instructions: 1. First, follow the normal procedure to turn off your computer. Then turn it back on. 2. The tray may now work again. 3. If that doesn’t work, straighten a paper clip so that you have a short length of wire. Find the small hole in the faceplate immediately above the LED. 4. Push the wire carefully into the small hole until the emergency tripping device releases the tray. 5. The tray should now open. 6. Please DO NOT try to pry the tray open. This can result in breaking the bezel off the front of the tray causing physical damage not covered by warranty. If you do anything to your CD-ROM which causes the bezel and/or the tray to be broken, your drive will not be replaced under warranty.
