My MIDI synth is out of tune with the rest of the instruments I am playing with. How can I fine tune my VL70-m?
First, please note that with a wind controller system using MIDI sound modules or softsynths any Fine Tuning should be done on the receiving synth. Fine Tuning should NOT be done on the MIDI wind controller using its LIP ZERO or Pitchbend sensor calibration etc. The lip and bend sensors must always remain in proper calibration. One exception to this is the EWI4000s with its built in synth. To fine tune the EWI4000s’ BUILT IN synth, there is a fine tune parameter (“tu”) on the horn for this purpose. All synths include a fine tune adjustment. To set the overall global pitch fine tuning of the VL70-m simply push the UTIL button, then select SYSTEM and push the ENTER button. If “M.Tune” is not showing in the display use the SELECT buttons to get to the “M.Tune” screen. Now use the VALUE buttons to set the fine tuning pitch offset. Note that this value can be set positive and negative and it affects ALL patches in the VL70-m. When done, push the PLAY button to return to normal Play mode. If
