Cats are low to the ground and tend to walk through the underbrush outside. I have 4 male cats and one female who go outside. There are lots of grasses and weeds that stick to them. If you notice they are always in different places, then they are burrs and stuff. If they yelp at you for picking at them, then maybe they are bites from another animal, but then they would be more recognizable. Best thing to do is take one off and examine it, CSI style.

My cat used to have sore patches on her belly and they seemed to be near her teats/nipples. I took her to the vet who did various tests and found that she was allergic to tree and grass pollen. I’m not saying that your cat is allergic too, but a vet trip is needed to get to the bottom of this. If they are infected, your cat will need antibiotics and possibly a steroid injection to stop him scratching and making them worse.
