My local Christian radio station (supported by commercial advertising) always runs a “listener pledge” requesting donations around the same time that public radio is running annual membership fundraisers. Do you find this sneaky?

Not sneaky, but maybe taking advantage of a prime time to do pledge drives, since others are doing it. I’ve never heard of a Christian radio station that has both commercial advertising *and* pledge drives — usually it’s one or the other. And ever since K-LOVE (national station) bought out the local commercial-supported station, they’ve gotten worse with talk and talk and too many pledge drives throughout the year. Yet they’re the only Christian music station in the area, it’s either that or get out the CDs.
