If your driver license or learner permit was stolen or lost due to a crime, you can order a duplicate online, but you must pay the $17.50 duplicate photo document fee. To replace a driver license or learner permit lost due to a crime free of charge, you must apply at a DMV office. See If Your License, Permit or ID is Lost or Stolen. Note: You cannot replace a non-driver photo ID card lost due to a crime for no fee by any method.
