Yes, you can. Such a converter provides a “virtual” COM port on your PC that can be used to interface with the tag printer. However, we know that some manufacturers of these converter devices do not correctly implement the XON/XOFF (software) flow control protocol that is used by the tag printer. If your tag printer starts to show random dark lines in the printed tag, it may be due to this flow control problem.
