My laptop does not recognize my belkin wireless card what should I do?

Is it a USB or Card slot, Anyway go into your control panel, click on System, open Hardware and then Device manager, see if PCMCIA or USB have a problem, it will have a Red, Green or Yellow ( ! ) next to it if there is a problem, if there is go to the top of the window and rescan, if this does not help then unplug and plug back into slot and rescan, do this a couple times, if still cant find the Card then go to update drivers, and install from CD that came with the Card or USB, also remember that USB device requires you install the software and plug it in when it ask for it in the setup, I hope this helps….

First, restart your laptop with the wireless card inserted. Sometimes “plug ‘n play” devices need that to be recognized. If that doesn’t work, go onto the Belkin website and do a download search on their site for the driver for your wireless card. Download the device driver.
