My landlord (one guy that rents homes) took all of my deposit and won return it…what do i do?
HOPE you documented condition of house and did walk-through with him Sue him in small claims court after doing demand letter. . . .but unlike the tenant you know about, follow through Letter should state time of your tenancy, end of tenancy, condition of place, walkthrough, that time for return of deposit has passed and you haven’t received notification and haven’t received return of deposit despite requests; Be polite, respectful, businesslike. . . this becomes part of your case in court. . .
What I do as a landlord I take pictures before and after that way the tenant is protected and so am I. What you shouldve done is take pictures of the whole house that way you have evidence that house was not destroyed. Dont let it go, you can sue him, if you know its bogus, maybe you can go back and take pictures.
