If you were at the bottom of the screen when this occurred, then this is the infamous “scrolling while ADB input is being received” problem. There are a few ways to avoid it: • always type “clear” before the screen has a chance to scroll • edit /etc/ttys and use an external terminal on one of your serial ports • use “dt”, Lawrence Kesteloot’s desktop program (this is a good solution) • since this problem has been fixed on all machines that I know of since the 1.1 release, the best solution is to upgrade to a much newer kernel.
