Firmly grip both sides of the cable, be sure to grip on the cable itself and not the connector heads. Now gently pull simultaneously on both ends, with enough force the cable will pull out. The JAVOSync should now be fully extended, gently tug both ends of the cable to start the retraction process. Slowly allow the cable to retract and it should automatically normalize back into the retraction mechanism.
