Determining given trouble is a ms project recovery. Present software owns some required facilities such as working with big mpp files, using high end, clear interface, launching under low system requirements, any version of Windows OS.

It must be caused by some .mpp files damaged by virus/malware.

Mostly you did not install it and trying to execute from a write protected medium like CD or server disk. iProjectViewer writes a logfile for problems and needs to write to disk.
